I should post something about Costa Rica but don’t have all the photos edited and processed yet. Soon. Probably right after Christmas.
In the meantime here are some of today’s Mt. Hood pictures ordered chronogically from top to bottom. Doc O, Otto, Snowy and I went for a fun tour in the woods:
We wanted to climb as high as possible staying within timberline.
It was a skin scraping kind of day. We started in a persistent misty rain; 2,500 vertical feet or so later we found the snowzone plus four or five inches of fluff on a forgiving crust. Conditions were surprisingly good despite the less than auspicious start.
Doc O found the goods and wasted no time.
It was hard not to wonder about and reflect upon the recent climbing tragedy.
