Hi! I’m Michael G. Halle. My surname rhymes with alley. I’ve lived in Portland, Oregon since 1994 and grew up in Cleveland and Los Angeles. I am a professional photographer and cut my teeth working as a full-time stringer for the Portland, Oregonian newspaper from 1997-1999. Then assignment editor Kraig Scatarella nicknamed me Michael ‘A1′ Halle for my propensity to emerge from the sticks with above the fold A1 cover images. There’s more to the story and if you’d like to know please contact me, visit my site, subscribe to my feed or follow me on twitter. Next time I stick a rather large Chanterelle in my mouth I’ll remember to brush the dirt, moss and pine needles off the stem first. Au revoir.
